By focusing on shape, color and texture students will be able to create desserts that look good enough to eat! By exploring the nostalgic style of Wayne Thiebaud’s work, students will portray their favorite desserts.

March 2019: Botanical Drawings inspired by Susan Davidoff
Students will learn how to make their own paper and the essence of creating their own organic pigments. Through this process students will explore botanical art inspired by Susan Davidoff and Sarah Graham. Students will gain the art fundamentals of positive and negative space, texture, and line.
April 2019: Halftone Interiors inspired by Roy Lichenstein
Through pop culture students will learn perspective, color, aesthetics, and harmony. By utilizing the arts of digital media and screen printing students will be able to create rooms inspired by the works of Roy Lichenstein.
